we DO NOT use, as a matter of health:
PABA (Paraminobenzoic Acid) or its
derivatives Padimate O and Octyl Dimethyl PABA.
PABA taken in excess can result in nausea,
skin rashes and vomiting. Further, excessive
levels
of PABA are stored in the body and may cause
liver damage
Mineral Oil, which is proven to
dry the skin and promote skin damage.
Dyes or
other artificial coloring agents, which can
be harmful to the body
Animal testing
We DO USE natural
ingredients, including carrot oil, which contains
over 600 antioxidants that help to prevent skin
damage caused by ultraviolet radiation. The following
ingredients can be also be found in various products
throughout our line:
Almond Oil: Almond
oil can help in relieving muscular aches and pains,
softening the skin and promoting a clear, young
looking complexion. Its fine texture means your
skin will not feel greasy or sticky.
Avocado Oil: Avocado
oil is one of the most moisturizing oils provided
by Mother Nature. The oil is obtained from the pulp
of the avocado and is highly therapeutic. Contains
protein, Amino acids and large amounts of vitamins
A, D & E, making the oil very much alive. These
components are moisturize, help with cell regeneration,
soften skin and tissue, and heal....
Cucumber: Hydrates
and refreshes the skin. Cucumbers contain vitamin
A, vitamin C, iron and calcium.
Vitamin C: In addition
to preventing oxidative damage to DNA and other
molecules, vitamin C blocks the production of cancer-causing
nitrosamines in the stomach. Studies have been conducted
on the role of vitamin C in atherosclerosis and
heart disease, and some of the results show a protective
effect. Vitamin C is soluble in water and is not
stored in cells, requiring a daily dietary intake
to maintain sufficient protection in the body.
Vitamin E: Can
increase some immune functions in the elderly.
Able to destroy reactive
oxygen
from sunlight and air pollutants, vitamin E
has a protective effect on the skin and guards
against
cataracts and macular degeneration. Similarly
to vitamin C, vitamin E blocks nitrosamine
formation.
Coconut
Oil: Its small molecular structure allows
for easy absorption, giving both the skin and
hair a soft, smooth texture. Just the coconut
oil by itself makes an ideal ointment for the
relief of dry, rough and wrinkled skin. . Coconut
oil is especially useful in fighting free-radicals,
as it is unrefined and hasn't been stripped
of
any of its natural components through the refining
process.
Cocoa Butter: It is very moisturizing
and is used in cosmetics and soap.
